How it works
Step by step

Sign up on Sauto.cz
Go to sauto.cz and click "Přidat inzerát" (Add listing). If you don't have an account, register with your e-mail or sign in with a Seznam account. Fill in your contact details and confirm your e-mail address.

Photograph the car thoroughly
Buyers judge the photos first. Shoot the exterior from all four corners, plus the engine, interior, dashboard, seats and boot. Ideally in daylight against a neutral background. Sauto allows up to 20 photos — use them all.

Work out the market price
Compare similar cars (same make, model, year, fuel and mileage) on Sauto and TipCars. Set your price slightly above the bottom of the range so you have room to negotiate. Pricing too high will make the sale drag on.

Fill in the ad in detail
Enter the VIN (it fills in the basic details automatically), the car's condition, service history, number of previous owners and any defects. An honest description cuts down on pointless questions and builds buyers' trust.

Choose a promotion package
The basic ad is free, but its visibility is low. We recommend at least the "Speciální nabídka" (Special offer) package, from CZK 99 a week, which keeps your ad near the top of the results. For pricier cars (CZK 200,000+), Premium pays off.

Reply quickly and professionally
Sauto tracks your average response time — the faster you reply, the better the algorithm rates you. Turn on push notifications in the mobile app. Have the service book and registration documents ready for viewings.

Close the sale safely
Draw up a purchase agreement at the handover (a free template is available at sauto.cz/smlouva). Transfer the registration to the buyer at a municipal office with extended powers or online via the Czech government's Citizen Portal (Portál občana). Hand over the green card and cancel your insurance.
