Carnado was born out of frustration: buying a used car in Europe means trawling through dozens of marketplaces, wading through duplicate listings and guessing whom to trust. We decided to change that.
Why we built Carnado
A fragmented market needed a single answer
Europe’s used car market is one of the largest in the world — and one of the hardest to get an overview of. Thousands of dealers, dozens of portals, hundreds of thousands of listings every day. Buyers spend hours hopping between browser tabs and still feel they’re missing something.
Carnado works as a meta search engine: one search, results from many sources, no duplicates. Click a listing you like and we send you straight to the original source — you don’t buy anything through us and you don’t sell anything with us. Simple and honest.
How it works
A meta search engine, not a marketplace
We regularly fetch listings from partner sources, normalise the data (every marketplace uses its own format) and store it in our own database. When you search, we query that database and return ranked results.
Photos and detailed vehicle information are always loaded from the source, or we link straight to the original listing. We don’t host content that isn’t ours, and we always state clearly where the data comes from.
