Recommend Carnado: how the referral link works

Every account has its own referral link. If you send it to someone looking for a car and they create an account through it, we count it for you.

Where to find the link. Once signed in, in the account menu under Referrals, or straight on the page Recommend Carnado. Copy the link with the Copy button. On a phone you can use Share and send it through the app you prefer.

How a sign-up is counted.

1. Your friend clicks your link. Their browser remembers that they came from you.
2. If they create an account within 30 days, the sign-up is attributed to you.
3. As soon as the friend confirms their e-mail, it appears among your confirmed sign-ups. Until then you see it as pending.

Only a new account with a confirmed e-mail that was created through your link counts. A second account of your own doesn't, and neither does the account of someone who already had one on Carnado. If your friend opens the link in one browser and creates the account in another (say on a phone instead of a computer), we can't attribute the sign-up to you.

Reward. The reward for referrals is still being prepared and nothing is fixed yet. We do count sign-ups through your link already, so you won't lose anything. Once the reward is settled, we will post it here and on the link page.

Where you see the results. The link page shows the confirmed sign-ups and the number waiting for e-mail confirmation. If your friend doesn't confirm their e-mail, the sign-up isn't counted, so remind them to check the spam folder too. The link stays the same, you don't need to generate a new one.

Where to share the link. It works best where cars are discussed: with a friend asking for advice on a used car, in a group where people look for cars, under your own post about buying. Don't mass-send it to people who don't want it. We delete spam with links, here in the forum too.

Wasn't a sign-up counted that you know about? Post the approximate date your friend registered and we will look into it.
