How to search: makes, models, filters, radius around you and Describe it

Search goes through Czech and foreign marketplaces at once and shows the results in one list. All filters are free for everyone. Here is how to get the most out of them.

Makes and models. In the Make and Model fields you can pick several makes and several models at once, for example Octavia, Superb and Passat in one search. The most searched makes are at the top, the others you find by typing in the field. If you don't pick a model for a make, we search all its models.

Filters. Price, year, mileage and power are entered as a from–to range. Beyond that there are fuel, gearbox, body type, seller, country and region, four-wheel drive and keywords (for example "estate", "tow bar", "sport") that we look for in the text of the listing. The Added filter shows only listings from the last few days and Price dropped only shows only cars whose price has fallen.

Radius around your location. In the Near field enter a postcode or town, or use your location, and choose a radius in kilometres. Within the radius we show only listings where the marketplace states a town or postal code. Some sources don't give a place, so their cars are not visible in a radius search.

Describe it. In the Describe it field write what you are looking for in plain words, for example "family estate under €12,000, automatic, diesel", and click Fill in. We fill in the filters from the text and you can then adjust them by hand. If we can't read anything from the description, try adding a make, a price or a fuel.

Results. Results appear gradually as the individual marketplaces respond. For each source you see the number of listings, and clicking it shows only that source. You change the order in the sort menu. If nothing matches your filters, we show how many cars you would see without one of the filters. Open a listing detail by clicking the card, and from there you go to the seller's original page.

How many results you see. Without signing in, the number of searches per day is limited and you see only part of the results. With a free account you search without a daily limit and see more results per search, and more again once you confirm your e-mail. Saving a search. The Save search button turns a search into an alert that tells you about new cars. How alerts work is described in the neighbouring guide.
