How Carnado works: frequently asked questions

These are the questions we answer most often. The short answers are here, the full wording is on the FAQ page.

• What is Carnado? A used car search engine. It searches many European marketplaces at once and shows the results in one place. Clicking a listing takes you to the seller's original page. You don't buy or sell cars through us.

• Do you store the listings yourselves? We show basic details from listings and link to the original. Photos and details are loaded from the original seller, and we don't publish content that isn't ours without the source's permission. The exception is ads that people place directly on Carnado (see the guide to your own ad).

• Is it free? Searching is free, and with an account it has no daily limit, including every filter, comparing cars, the checklist and one alert with a daily digest. You pay for Sauto.cz loaded live, alerts within 15 minutes, the full price history and tools for dealers. What exactly belongs in Plus and Dealer is on the pricing page.

• Where does the data come from? From public listing portals and from direct cooperation with car dealers. For each result you see which source it comes from.

• How often are listings updated? We load most sources several times a day, so the data is at most a few hours old. A car may already be sold before the source reflects it, so always check on the seller's page that the listing is still live.

• Can I buy or sell a car through Carnado? Not buy, we are a search engine, not a marketplace. You can sell through your own ad on Carnado, by following the guides for selling on other portals, or by handing the sale to us through the Sell a car page.

• How do I report a wrong or outdated listing? Send the link to the listing and a description of the problem to ahoj@carnado.eu. We will check it and, if needed, hide it or flag it until the source fixes it.

• Does it work in my country? We search marketplaces in Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria and other European countries. You set the country or a radius around your location in the filter. Sauto.cz is part of the Plus plan.

• Do you process my personal data? For searching itself we ask you for nothing. With an account we store what we need for it to work, and when you write to us we process your e-mail and message only to reply. Details are in the Privacy policy.

• How do I hear about news? On the blog and here in the forum in the category How Carnado works. We only e-mail news when there is something worth announcing.
