Credits: promoting your ad and price trends

CarnadoCarnado team

Credits are prepaid units that you buy as a one-off, with no subscription. They are handy when you need one specific thing and don't want to pay for a monthly plan because of it. The credit bundles and their prices are on the pricing page. The bigger the bundle, the cheaper a single credit is.

What credits are spent on.

  1. Promoting an ad. An ad that you placed directly on Carnado moves above all search results for several days. Only an active ad that hasn't expired can be promoted. Promoting again extends the time the ad stays on top. You start it on the Manage your ads page.
  2. Full price history. A free account sees the last 30 days in Price trends. With credits you unlock the whole history for one model on one market, for example Škoda Octavia in Czechia. The unlock stays with you.
  3. Another Sauto load. Plus and Dealer only. The plan includes a number of live Sauto loads a day. When you use them up and need the current offer for another model today, you load it for a credit. Listings we already have stored you browse without credits.

How many credits an action costs is always shown right at the button before you confirm it. If you don't have enough, the app tells you and offers a top-up.

Balance and history. On the Credits page you see the balance and every movement: a purchase, a promotion, a trends unlock and a premium-source load, with a link to the ad for promotions. The balance is also in your account.

Credits or Plus? If you need a one-off promotion of an ad or a look at the long price history of one model, credits are enough and you don't need a subscription. If you are looking for a car for weeks and want Sauto and fast alerts, Plus fits better. The full price history is included in it for all models, so you don't spend credits on trends.

What credits don't do. They don't buy a better place in the forum or the removal of a review, they don't raise the number of alerts and they don't change your plan. For that there is a Plus or Dealer subscription.

Does a movement in your credit history look wrong, or are you unsure whether credits or Plus pays off? Write it here in the thread.
